RÜFÜS DU SOL - Alive
RÜFÜS DU SOL - ALIVE
BREATHTAKING LANDSCAPES THAT DON’T EXIST
A hyperrealistic music video for RÜFÜS DU SOL made entirely from computer generated images.
→ WORLD BUILDING
→ DIGITAL ART
→ UNREAL ENGINE PRODUCTION
Entropico teamed up with English director James Frost, known for his work on videos such as Radiohead’s “House of Cards” and OK Go’s “This Too Shall Pass”, constructed the clip solely using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine, taking the viewer on a first-person journey across speeding landscapes.
THE CONCEPT
On first viewing, you’d be mistaken if you thought this was the work of a drone. The work is five-plus minutes of stunning landscapes, experienced from a first-person flyover perspective. Created during our emergence from lockdowns and pandemic gloom, this film offers the viewer a sublime sense of freedom.
THE PROCESS
No physical cameras were used in the production of this film. Instead, Entropico digital artists Claudia Brand and Joey Hunter created the landscapes and movement in Unreal Engine – the world’s most powerful creation engine, a proprietary 3D creation tool owned by Epic Games, best known for giving us Fortnite.
“RÜFÜS DU SOL have continued their stunning rollout of immersive, groundbreaking content, with the release of the official video for recent single Alive.”
